Sunoco Awards Upgrades Contract to Paragon Environmental Construction

BREWERTON, N.Y. -- Sunoco has awarded Paragon Environmental Construction Inc. a contract to upgrade multiple recently acquired gas stations in upstate New York, according to a Greater Binghamton Business Journal report. The stations stretch from Buffalo to Albany.

The Brewerton, N.Y.-based environmental construction firm will perform upgrades such as tank and piping improvements. It will remove the older tanks and pipes and install new fuel storage systems at the sites.

"Also, Sunoco selected us to serve in an oversight role for other parts of the project, such as instances where a new canopy will be built at the same time as we are installing new tanks," said company owner Peter Paragon in a news release. "For Sunoco, this means they have one contractor they can call to ask questions or receive updates about the project's progress. This also means that all of the work conducted at these project sites will be performed to our stringent health and safety procedures."

Work has already begun on the first site and will continue through early fall, stated Paragon.
