PHILADELPHIA -- Sunoco APlus Convenience Stores and XYIENCE, maker of the official Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) energy drink Xenergy, will host former UFC welterweight champion Matt "The Terror" Serra for an autograph signing in Philadelphia this Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The signing will take place at the Sunoco APlus store, 2601 Penrose Ave., to coincide with the UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz fight that is scheduled for later that evening at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
"In my years as an athlete and coach, I've watched MMA literally change peoples’ lives by teaching people discipline, focus and building confidence," Serra said. "I have been lucky to discover MMA and to fight in the UFC. At events like this, when I can personally connect with local fans, it's an opportunity keep the momentum going for MMA and to help people understand more about our great sport."
Serra was the first American promoted to black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Renzo Gracie, according to XYIENCE. He also owns and operates Serra Jiu-Jitsu Academies in Long Island, N.Y.
Currently, more than 600 Sunoco APlus stores are operated by Sunoco and its independent dealers.
