ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Anthony Kenney, president of Speedway Super America LCC, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS). He and six other new board members assumed their positions during the NACS Board of Directors meeting at the NACS Show, which took place Oct.20-23 in Las Vegas, according to the association.
Kenney has been president of Speedway SuperAmerica LLC (SSA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corp., since 2005. The company has roughly 1,600 company-operated stores and 64 franchise locations in nine states. Kenney has more than 33 years of experience in the oil and gas and convenience retailing industry, and served as Marathon Petroleum Co.'s vice president, business development prior to his current position.
Kenney served as SSA commercial manager, controller, treasurer and vice president of finance and information technology services. He also has held numerous positions at Marathon in accounting, finance and marketing, as well as supply and transportation.
He is a member of the boards of directors for both the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Miami (Ohio) University, and also completed the executive program at the University of Michigan Business School.
