SIGMA Mourns Passing of Angela Angerosa

RESTON, Va. -- The Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) today is mourning the death of long-time magazine editor Angela Angerosa following a battle with cancer. She was 45.

Angerosa became assistant editor of Independent Gasoline Marketing, SIGMA's bi-monthly magazine, in 1987. During the next 16 years, she became heavily involved with and responsible for the editorial direction and development of SIGMA's magazine in a variety of positions, from editor to editorial director.

"Those who knew her and worked with her knew Angela as a true professional and a good friend who will be sorely missed," SIGMA said in a statement.

Memorial services will be held May 15 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Arlington, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any of the following:

* Hospice of Northern Virginia, 4715 N. 15th Street, Arlington, Va., 22205; or
