Shell, Motiva "Keep Florida Moving"

HOUSTON -- This week, as part of its Keep Florida Moving program, Shell Oil Products US and Motiva Enterprises LLC awarded 10 Fort Myers and Naples residents with a one-year supply of Shell gasoline, a program Shell designed to help Florida residents recover from the devastation of the hurricanes. The residents were recognized for demonstrating exceptional acts of kindness and generosity to fellow community members by providing assistance and essential supplies such as gasoline and food.

"Shell realizes that the storms have affected everyone throughout the state of Florida, even in areas that weren't directly hit by hurricanes," said David Moss, Shell's general manager of the south region. "We also realize that many Floridians have gone above and beyond to help friends and neighbors recover and rebuild, and want to recognize these people for their compassionate acts."

The Keep Florida Moving program will award nearly $650,000 in free Shell gasoline and gift cards to Florida residents.

In addition to recognizing the deeds of local residents in Fort Myers, Team Florida, representing Shell, will travel to nine other Florida markets to assist local residents in getting back on their feet and to carry out random acts of kindness throughout those cities. Team Florida will perform simple gestures like pumping gasoline at Shell stations and giving away Shell gift cards that can be used for gasoline and convenience store items.
