Shell Launches Ski Promotion

HOUSTON -- Shell Oil Products US has teamed with 21 ski resorts in Washington state, Oregon, and Idaho to offer "SKI FREE with Shell" -- one of the largest ski promotions in the Pacific Northwest, the company reported.

Customers who purchase a minimum of eight gallons of Shell gasoline at participating stations can pick up a SKI FREE voucher to be redeemed for one free adult lift ticket with the purchase of an adult lift ticket at 21 participating area ski resorts in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Customers can return to Shell stations as many times as they wish between until April 15, 2004 to pick up their SKI FREE vouchers, with minimum purchases of 8 gallons of Shell gasoline, according to the company.

"Skiers need gas to drive up to the mountains as well as lift tickets to enjoy the slopes," said Hugh Cooley, general manager, wholesale for Shell Oil Products US. "Getting both gas and lift tickets will be much easier when customers visit any one of 550 participating Shell gas stations in the Pacific Northwest."

After receiving the free ticket, a Shell attendant must stamp and validate the gas receipt and attach the gas receipt to a validated "ski free" voucher. The customer then takes the validated voucher with attached gas receipt to a participating ski resort for redemption.

Only one ski voucher can be obtained per visit to participating Shell stations. The ski vouchers can only be redeemed at participating ski resorts on specified days. Blackout dates apply.
