Shell Helps Celebrate Harley-Davidson's 105th Anniversary

HOUSTON -- American icon Harley-Davidson revealed plans for an end of summer blowout party co-sponsored by Shell, which will have attendees riding high on the hog.

Taking place in Milwaukee on Aug. 28 to 31, the Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration will feature one of NASCAR's top drivers and Harley enthusiast Clint Bowyer, who will be on hand at the Shell Racing Experience at Veteran's Park on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Bowyer will meet fans and talk about all things Harley, according to the company.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to test their driving and pit skills with the No. 07 and No. 29 NASCAR show cars and racing simulators with the Shell Tire Change Challenge.

The following day, Shell will host an all-women's charity custom bike build-off at Milwaukee's largest Harley dealership, the House of Harley. The Chopper Chick Crew, led by Athena Ransom, will transform hundreds of bike parts into a fully functioning motorcycle within a matter of hours. Their collective talents have been featured on NBC's Today Show and SPEED TV's American Thunder.

"Anytime we do a live bike build, it's a huge draw," Ransom said in a released statement. "People are fascinated by the intricacies of what goes into making a motorcycle, and will stop by several times during the day to see the evolution of the bike."

During the entire four-day celebration, attendees will have the opportunity to try Shell V-Power premium grade gasoline for free with a Limited Edition Harley-Davidson/Shell Gift Card, when a free gift card is distributed randomly by company representatives. Other lucky onlookers will be given the chance to be one of the first to demo the 2009 Harley-Davidson models, all fueled by Shell V-Power.
