Shell Brings Back 'WINsday' Fuel Promotion for Third Year

HOUSTON -- Shell Oil Co. is hoping 22 is a lucky number for its gasoline brand and its customers. For the third consecutive year, the company is bringing back its WINsday promotion to help its customers save money on their fuel purchases.

Every time 22-year-old Joey Lagano, the driver of the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion, wins a points race during the 2013 season, current Shell Saver Cardholders can receive a savings of 22 cents per gallon when they purchase high quality Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines or Shell Diesel on the Wednesday -- WINsday -- following the win using their Shell Saver Card.

The racing season kicks off Feb. 24 at the Daytona 500 and runs through Nov. 17, so Shell Saver Cardholders will have 36 opportunities to save on their fuel purchases, according to the company.

"Driving the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil is a dream come true, and the opportunity to help people save on fuel when I win is a great bonus," said Joey Logano. "Each week, I'll do whatever I can to drive into victory lane and help Shell Saver Cardholders save at the pump -- a win-win for everyone!"

The WINsday promotion has also expanded this year to provide additional savings to Shell Saver Cardholders who are also registered members of the Fuel Rewards Network program. Customers who use their Shell Saver Card on WINsday will receive an email with a FRN Rewards Code and activation instructions. Once their FRN Rewards Code has been activated, the additional cents-per-gallon savings will be added to their FRN Account and can be redeemed on a future fuel purchase at participating Shell branded stations.

Customers can expect more programs and special offers later this year, and Shell encourages its customers to apply for a Shell Saver Card at www.shell.us/savercard and sign up for a Fuel Rewards Network Card.

Fuel savings issues to an FRN Account can be redeemed with the Fuel Rewards Network Card and are limited to 20 gallons of fuel per purchase per vehicle. Fuel Rewards savings earned through the FRN Rewards Code expire on the last day of the month, two months after the month in which that FRN Rewards Code is activated. Codes must be activated by Dec. 31.
