The fuel rewards loyalty program between Shell and Kroger provides shoppers the opportunity to save on fuels by using their Kroger Plus Card or other Kroger family of brand store loyalty card, and beginning July 26, Kroger customers in multiple states from Virginia to Arkansas can save money on their grocery bill and earn Fuel Points that can be used at the pump.
New markets include Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; Indianapolis; Ft. Wayne, Ind.; South Bend, Ind.; Champaign, Ill.; Little Rock, Ark.; and Jackson, Miss., among other surrounding cities.
Customers in the participating markets can save 10 cents per gallon for every 100 Fuel Points earned at Kroger family of brand stores, including Jay C, Scott’s and Owen’s supermarkets, when they use their loyalty card, and will be able to redeem their Fuel Points exclusively at participating Shell stations and Kroger Fuel Centers, up to 35 gallons per fuel purchase, the company reported. In Richmond only, customers may also redeem up to 1,000 Fuel Points per visit to save up to $1 per gallon at Kroger Fuel Centers (up to 35 gallons per fuel purchase).
Shell and Kroger previously announced similar alliances in other cities around the country, including: San Diego, Calif.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Nashville, Tenn.; Dayton, Ohio; Cincinnati; Detroit; Lansing, Mich.; Flint, Mich.; and Saginaw, Mich.
Customers earn one Fuel Point for every dollar spent on most items at participating Kroger family of brand stores when they use their Kroger Plus Card or other Kroger family of brand store loyalty card. Additional Fuel Points can be earned by purchasing prescriptions or gift cards at Kroger family of brand stores.
Customers earn 50 Fuel Points for each filled eligible prescription and two Fuel Points for every dollar spent on third-party gift cards from Kroger family of brand in-store Gift Card Malls.
