ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc., a chain of more than 330 convenience stores based here, is using an e-mail-based survey to glean ideas from its loyal customers on new menu choices that could eventually come to Sheetz stores, CSNews Online has learned.
The e-mail, which is sent to the company's Zmail newsletter and promotion subscribers, asks for an opinion on new menu items that the company is considering.
To thank its customers for their input, Sheetz is mailing a coupon for a free made-to-order food item to customers that complete the survey.
The survey explains to customers that the company is considering the addition of new menu items and asks them to select a menu category they would find most appealing.
Categories include soups, such as chicken noodle, tomato bisque and creamy chicken & wild rice; wraps, such as turkey and swiss, vegetarian and club; dessert items including apple danish, cherry turnover and apple crumb cake; fried foods, such as mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers and buffalo popcorn chicken; sandwiches, including mushroom swiss steak club or a BBQ short rib sandwich, and dipping sauces, with options like jalapeno ketchup, garlic oil, chipotle ranch and pesto mayonnaise.
