Sheetz Rewards Customer with a Year of Gas
ALTOONA, Pa. – To honor Sheetz, Inc. and M&T Bank's partnership that allows customers to withdraw cash without a surcharge from any M&T Bank ATM machine at Sheetz, the company awarded its 10,000,000th customer with a year of free gasoline.
Yesterday, Crystal Stehley, of Altoona, Pa., made a withdrawal from an ATM at the Sheetz location on Pleasant Valley Boulevard, and was greeted by officials from both companies who presented her with Z-cards for free gas.
"Millions of Sheetz customers have used the M&T Bank ATM's without a fee to access their own money," Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for Sheetz, said in a written statement. "We are pleased to have a partnership with M&T Bank that allows us to offer our customers additional savings when they shop at Sheetz."
Since the partnership began in March 2006, Sheetz has seen the volume of transactions at its ATM machines nearly triple, according to the company.
"The Sheetz stores have been ATM locations as an increasing number of customers are enjoying the convenience of doing their banking on the go. Partnering with Sheetz has allowed M&T to offer customers an extremely convenient ATM network," added Steve Foreman, regional executive for M&T Bank.
No-surcharge ATMs are present at all Sheetz locations.
