Sheetz Opens New Store in North Carolina

KING, N.C. -- Sheetz will open the doors of its newest location in 703 E. King St. in King, N.C. on March 15 at 11 a.m., according to a MyFOX8 report. The first 50 customers will receive a $100 Sheetz Z-card.

Grand opening festivities will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, samples of food and beverages, and the chance to play games for prizes. Sheetz Vice President of Operations Travis Sheetz and several Stokes County officials will attend.

The King store is one of 10 Sheetz locations scheduled to open in North Carolina this year, and will create approximately 40 full- and part-time jobs. In 2011, Sheet named the state its No. 1 market for growth and a key part of its quest to reach the 500-store mark within the next few years. The Altoona, Pa.-based convenience store chain also plans to complete a 200,000-square-foot distribution facility within the state by 2014.
