Sheetz to Open Wytheville, Va., Store
WYTHEVILLE, Va. -- Convenience store operator Sheetz Inc. will open a 5,000-square-foot Sheetz store here on Thursday, with a grand opening ceremony on Friday, the Wytheville Enterprise reported. The Wytheville Sheetz, located across from the Wytheville Commons shopping center, will offer fuel, a c-store, car wash and restaurant, the report stated.
"We're thrilled to be at the finish line," Monica Jones, spokeswoman for Altoona, Pa.-based Sheetz, told the paper.
In addition to typical convenience store items, the location will sell made-to-order burgers, hot dogs, specialty subs and salads. Another feature is a full-service espresso bar, complete with a trained barista who serves a variety of Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, according to the report.
Customers will also be able to fill their gas tanks through six fuel pumps, the report stated.
The Sheetz store, which will be open 24 hours a day, will employ between 25 and 35 workers, Jones told the paper.
The property was built on a 1.7-acre tract, formerly the home of a Builders Supermarket. The store is part of a 28.5-acre site being developed by Crown Properties LLC of Dobson, N.C., the report stated.
