ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. unveiled its new customized breakfast, "The Possibilities are Endless, Made-To-Order Breakfast," which is available at Sheetz 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The breakfast includes Shmuffins, Shmiscuits and Shmagels. In all, customers are able to choose from nine bread options, including low-carb bagels; four different meats; six cheese selections; and 19 toppings and sauces.
"Our customers can build their breakfast sandwiches any way they want with a wide selection of breads, toppings, meats and condiments that can be put together in over 17 million different ways," said Louie Sheetz, the company's executive vice president of marketing.
Sheetz's touchscreen menu allows customers to electronically select food items that are then prepared fresh in the Sheetz Open Kitchen. Chef Keith Boston has created several chef's recipe breakfast options, including Green (pesto) Eggs and Ham Shmuffin --egg, ham and provolone cheese topped with pesto atop a breakfast muffin.
Other chef's recipe breakfast choices include California BLT Shmuffin -- egg, bacon and cheddar cheese topped with lettuce, tomato and a creamy cilantro sauce, served on a breakfast muffin; SalsaJack Shmuffin -- egg, sausage and hot pepper cheese topped with fire-roasted tomato sauce and salsa, served on a breakfast muffin; and Steak House Shmuffin -- egg, steak and provolone cheese topped with peppers, onions and horseradish, served on a breakfast muffin. Customers can also have their breakfast sandwich served on a warm pretzel bun.
