    Sheetz, Hess Open New Stores

    The new Greensboro, N.C., Sheetz marks the 39th in the state, while Hess Express adds a one-stop shop in Woodbridge, N.J.

    GREENSBORO, N.J. and WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- Sheetz and Hess Express have added to their respective c-store counts with new locations in North Carolina and New Jersey.

    Sheetz's new store, located at 1620 New Garden Road in Greensboro, N.C., is the seventh in Guildford County and the 39th overall in the state, according to a Business Journal report. It occupies 6,000 square feet, will employ up to 45 people and will add approximately $3.5 million in property tax value.

    The new store is one of 10 "convenience restaurants" that Sheetz plans to open in North Carolina this year. The company opened another convenience restaurant last month at 3941 W. Market St. in Greensboro.

    The latest Hess Express store, located at 119 West Pond Road in the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge, N.J., will operate 24 hours a day, according to a My Central Jersey report. A grand opening event is scheduled for April 22.

    Features of the new store include Mountain Top Coffee, "Good to Go" healthy food options, a full line of Quiznos menu items, Godfather's Pizza, an instant ticket vending machine and more.

    "We'll take pride in meeting the high standards -- friendly customer service, high quality and cleanliness -- set and supported by Hess," said Max Gleason, Hess regional marketing representative. "And we'll continuously upgrade our store offerings to respond to the changing needs of our customers."

    Hess currently operates more than 1,360 gas stations and c-stores in 14 states from Massachusetts to Florida.
