Sheetz Gives the Gift Of Free Coffee

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz, Inc. is thanking its customers for their patronage with free coffee on Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Customers who stop at any of Sheetz's locations on those days get any size cup of premium 100 percent Arabica bean coffee for free. The special ran for 24 hours beginning at midnight on December 25, and will start up again from 4:00 p.m. December 31 through 4:00 p.m. January 1.

"We are grateful for our loyal customers, and it has been a long time tradition at Sheetz to offer free coffee to our customers on Christmas and New Year's Day," said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president, marketing. "It's our way of saying thank you and helping to brighten their travels with a fresh cup of hot coffee to get them going on their way."

More Americans will travel this Christmas-New Year's holiday than ever before. AAA estimates that 64.9 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this holiday -- 52.6 million of them by motor vehicle. These holiday road warriors can stop at any Sheetz location to enjoy any size cup of the chain's new self-serve coffees.

Sheetz also uses this special gesture as a way to thank its employees and their families for their hard work and dedication as they work during the holidays. "Our stores are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including Christmas and New Year's, so we really appreciate the service that our employees give at this time of year," said Sheetz.

The chain now offers a wide array of new, premium blends to satisfy the expanding tastes of today's coffee drinker. The new blends are made from 100 percent Arabica beans -- the highest quality coffee beans you can buy -- and brewed fresh in the stores 24 hours a day.

The company said its famous Sheetz House Blend coffee has not changed and continues to offer the same great taste customers have always loved, but now there are new choices for those who desire something more. Sheetz Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100 percent Columbian and Vanilla Nut Cream have all been added to the menu.

A leader in the industry, Altoona, Penn.-based Sheetz began selling fresh hot coffee over 30 years ago and in 2004, introduced Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full line of made-to-order espresso beverages. Sheetz Bros. Coffeez is currently available at 141 Sheetz locations, and plans are in place to add the line to all its stores.

The company operates 329 convenience store locations throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina.
