ALTOONA, Pa. -- Convenience store operator Sheetz Inc. opened a new store in Zanesville, Ohio yesterday, bringing the number of locations in the state to 26 and the number of stores across the chain to 342, the company stated.
The store, located at 225 North Maysville Avenue, held a grand opening ceremony yesterday, hosted by employees, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. As part of the celebration, Sheetz made a donation to The Lifewell, a community organization formerly known as the Pierce Street Community Center of Zanesville, Ohio, according to the company.
"We are thrilled to join the Zanesville community and be a part of the events that are important to them," said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for the company. "Sheetz has a long tradition of being involved in youth-centered activities so today, we are happy to make a commitment to Zanesville to support educational and athletic programs for children of the community."
The store offers the chain's menu of fresh Made-To-Order items, including cold and toasted subs, salads, French fries, onion rings, chicken fingers and burgers, the company stated.
Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, the chain's full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista, will offer customers hand-made coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas in a variety of ways -- hot, frozen or iced. Here, customers can also order frozen fruit smoothies, according to the company.
And for customers on-the-go, Sheetz provides premium-brewed, self-serve coffees made from 100 percent Arabica beans in flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100 percent Colombian and Vanilla Nut Cream, the company stated.
Customers in Zanesville, Ohio, will place food and specialty coffee orders at touchscreen order kiosks. The store also boasts a surcharge-free ATM and a full-service, automatic carwash, in addition to retailer gift and phone cards.
