Sheetz Expands in Greenville, N.C.

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc., operator of 346 convenience stores headquartered here, recently opened its third location in Greenville, N.C., at 650 Whitley Drive, the company stated.

The latest store -- the 16th in the state for the chain -- opened last week to customers. A grand opening ceremony was held, where Sheetz made a donation to Special Olympics of Greenville/Pitt County, according to the company.

"The people of Greenville have been great customers, and we are happy that we are able to expand our business to keep serving the Greenville community," Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for the company, said in a statement. "Sheetz has a long tradition of being involved in Special Olympics in all of our operating states. We are thrilled to make a commitment to support the athletes who participate in Special Olympics of Greenville/Pitt County."

The new store in Greensboro, N.C., features made-to-order cold and toasted subs, a variety of salads, along with french fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, burgers and more, the company stated.

The store will also feature its full-service Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, an espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista, according to the company. There, customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas in a variety of ways -- hot, frozen or iced. Frozen fruit smoothies are also available at the Sheetz Bros. Coffeez bar.

For on-the-go customers, the store offers premium brewed self-serve coffees made from 100 percent Arabica beans in a variety of flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100 percent Colombian and Vanilla Nut Cream.

Like all other Sheetz stores, the Greenville, N.C., location features touch-screen order kiosks where customers place their food and beverage orders. In addition, a surcharge-free ATM and a variety of retailer gift and phone cards are available for the convenience of its customers, the company stated.
