Sheetz Brings Convenience to Farmville, Va.

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz opened a new 5,000-square-foot store in Farmville, Va., the newest addition to the 330-store chain and the 54th location in Virginia for Sheetz, the company reported.

While the store is now open to the public, employees will host a community grand opening celebration Thursday, Jan. 4, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. As part of the Jan. 4 festivities, the company will present $2,500 to The Southside Virginia Family YMCA in Farmville.

"It's exciting for us at Sheetz any time we are able to bring our latest concepts in convenience to a new area," said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president, marketing. "We are grateful for the opportunity to reach out to a new community, and we hope our donation to the YMCA program in Farmville will benefit many."

Sheetz is proud to offer a new menu with a variety of fresh Made-To- Order items. The new store in Farmville features cold and toasted subs, paninis, hand tossed salads along with hot fries, onion rings, chicken fingers and burgers.

The new store also offers Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, (SBC) a full-service espresso bar staffed by a professionally trained barista. Customers can order hand-made coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas -- hot, frozen or iced. Frozen fruit smoothies and a variety of teas round out the SBC menu.

For those who prefer to pour their own, Sheetz offers new premium brewed self-serve coffees made from 100 percent Arabica beans in many flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100 percent Columbian and Vanilla Nut Cream.

As always at Sheetz, customers place their food and specialty coffee orders at touch-screen order kiosks located both inside the store and outside at the gas island.

Self-serve milkshakes, bulk candy and peanut dispensers, a cold grab-n-go case and self-serve bakery items are all available at the new store as well.

Additionally, the facility includes a full-service automatic carwash.
