Rutter's Reopens Revamped Store

YORK, Pa. -- With the snip of a red ribbon, Rutter's Farm Stores celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated store at 113 Abbottstown Street in East Berlin last Friday.

The half-hour event was attended by company executives as well as city officials. During the festivities and in a move to give back to the community, Rutter's presented a check for $25,000 for the "Build a Park" project, an initiative that will assist in the development of a community park on 17 acres of land on North Avenue.

The family-owned and third generation-managed, Manchester Township-based Rutter's operates 51 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Franklin and Lancaster counties including the revamped store which is now 4,640 square feet, nearly double the size of the original store.

Along with an increase of fuel pumps from eight to 14, new features include company's latest foodservice offerings, a self-serve premium-coffee island, seating and a newly introduced bathroom design featuring tiled walls, floating ceiling, music and other upscale amenities.
