HINSDALE, Ill. -- Royal Buying Group Inc. (RBG) has signed an exclusive, multi-year agreement with Gulf Oil Ltd. Partnership, which will allow RBG to provide convenience retailing services to all Gulf-branded channel partners in the form of marketing programs, rebate administration and promotion management.
"By drawing on the strength of our greater retail network, this proprietary program will give all current and future Gulf retailers an advantage when it comes to product price, merchandising and promotion, which is why we selected the program name 'Gulf Advantage Power of One,'" said David Masuret, Gulf's director of marketing operations.
"We have continued our expansion into the Northeast, and with our niche services for the independent retailer, Royal Buying Group has taken a significant step in aggregating the buying power of all Gulf-branded channel partners," said Michael Zielinski, president and CEO of Royal Buying Group in Hinsdale, Ill.
Royal Buying Group is a national organization dedicated to maximizing sales and profitability of convenience store and petroleum locations. Its core service capabilities include negotiating with regional and national suppliers for "impactful and competitive" sales and marketing programs, providing category management expertise, marketing support, customer service support and a variety of additional service offerings for its membership.
Gulf, based in Chelsea, Mass., is a wholesaler of refined petroleum products. It distributes motor fuels through a network of 1,800 Gulf-branded gas stations, and also distributes heating oil, diesel fuel and kerosene.
