RKA Petroleum Appoints New President

ROMULUS, Mich. -- RKA Petroleum Cos. Inc. promoted Rick Enright from vice president of supply and transportation to the company's president. Enright, with more than 20 years experience working in the petroleum industry, joined RKA in 2008 as its supply and sourcing manager.

Enright is credited for successfully helping RKA Petroleum with strategic fuel and carrier freight sourcing programs, and streamlining and automating several back office processes, while driving performance in several areas of the company.

As president, Enright will provide oversight for all business units within RKA Petroleum, including its other companies, Land & Sea Petroleum and Rex Carriers, and will lead the companies strategic growth planning with national sales teams, operations, supply and marketing efforts, the company reported.

"Because Rick Enright has exemplified solid and successful management skills at RKA Petroleum Cos. along with his combined knowledge and proven track record within the fuel industry, our board of directors felt that he was more than qualified to oversee the demands of our growing company," said Keith Albertie, executive vice president, RKA Petroleum Cos.

Prior to joining RKA, Enright worked for FuelQuest Inc. in Houston, where he held leadership roles within supply chain management, strategic fuel sourcing and tax automation. He also held various leadership roles within retail and marketing, supply and trading, and U.S. commercial fuels for BP Products North America Inc. in Warrenville, Ill., prior to joining FuelQuest.

Enright currently works at the company's Chicago office, but will eventually relocate to Michigan where he will be based out of the company's headquarters.
