Rinehart Oil Enlists Online Provider

UKIAH, Calif. -- Rinehart Oil Co., a petroleum marketer in the Bay area, has selected online e-fuel solutions company, MyTankGauge Technologies LLC, to manage its environmental risk and supply chain. The Internet-based operation allows Rinehart to obtain real-time inventory at all locations.

"MyTankGauge [has] provided us with an affordable solution for bringing our stations online," said Dave Weston, Rinehart's dispatch and transportation manager. "With MyTankGauge's hourly updates, I am able to check tank inventories and get my drivers on the road when I come into the office at 5 a.m., before the stations that we service are even open. We used to call the stations several times per day to find out if they needed a fuel delivery. Now, we can check it online whenever we need to without interrupting the station operators."

The online service also provides compliance management features, said Weston. "It's great to not have to keep track of the leak test printouts every month. MyTankGauge does that for us and we don't even have to think about it."

John Reynolds, vice president of the San Francisco-based electronic provider, said the company's solutions promise flexibility and cost savings. "Two of our products," he said, "allow our customers to eliminate the need for a dedicated phone line at their site. Eliminating this additional monthly cost results in significant savings to our clients."

According to Reynolds, MyTankGauge also avoids another issue that has aggravated end-users -- charging additional monthly fees for premium services. "MyTankGauge offers its full suite of services to its customers at the same low monthly price," he said. "With every MyTankGauge solution, our customer gets the premium services other companies charge extra for."

Standard services include hourly inventory updates and other jobber-related services.
