Texaco launches 42 Days of Racing promotion around the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline team.

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Chevron Global Marketing is kicking off the Texaco 42 Days of Racing promotion with a grand-prize race package featuring a trip to the final six stock car races of the season, and a chance to meet Texaco/Havoline driver Juan Pablo Montoya.

"Stock car racing has become one of America's most popular spectator sports, but few fans have had the opportunity to experience this many races firsthand," said Danny Roden, vice president of North America marketing for Chevron. "Texaco has been fortunate to build a rich 20-year legacy in stock car racing, and we are giving our customers the chance to take part in the live-action excitement of these races."

Throughout the Texaco 42 Days of Racing, which concludes July 28, customers will receive -- with any gas purchase -- a free limited edition Juan Pablo Montoya No. 42 Texaco/Havoline race team 32-ounce collector fountain cup.

Also, providing additional support for the No. 42 team and driver, Texaco will release a special limited edition gift card carrying the image of driver Juan Pablo Montoya during the promotion. The gift card is expected to be available in stores later this summer.

The sweepstakes' grand-prize package includes: roundtrip airfare, lodging, deluxe transportation and two premiere tickets to each of the last six races of the 2007 season. Other prizes include a 2008 Dodge Avenger R, autographed racing caps and Texaco gift cards. Race fans can enter the sweepstakes online at 42daysofracing.com.

Texaco continues its sponsorship of the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline race team. This year marks the company's 20th anniversary as a primary sponsor in Cup racing.
