RaceTrac Expanding New Prototype Beyond Georgia

DALLAS -- Atlanta-based RaceTrac Petroleum will open its first new prototype store outside its home market of Georgia next week in Little Elm, Texas, while another 6,000-square-foot "RT6K" prototype store is scheduled to open in Allen, Texas, later this year, the Dallas Morning News reported.

The Little Elm store will open its doors on June 21 and features expanded food and beverage options such as a Swirl World frozen yogurt bar with 10 flavors, fried chicken and biscuits, 24 frozen drink flavors and a walk-in beer cooler. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi and seating for 12 inside and 12 outside.

The new store will employ at least 20 workers, according to the report.

RaceTrac, which operates more than 630 stores in markets around Atlanta; Baton Rouge, La.; Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla.; Dallas/Fort Worth; Miami; New Orleans; and Orlando, Fla., opened its first prototype store in February of this year, as CSNews Online previously reported.
