QuikTrip Reveals Plan for New Store in Owasso

C-store chain continues brand building in Oklahoma.

OWASSO, Okla. -- The "coming soon" sign on the door of the vacant Pomac’s convenience store in Owasso is a sign of new life, as QuikTrip will open a new location as early as spring 2009.

Mike Thornbrugh, spokesman for QuikTrip, told the Owasso Reporter the company is looking forward to adding a third store to its Owasso lineup.

"We’ll get construction work going as soon as possible. We don’t have a set date yet, but we want to get started as soon as we can," Thornbrugh told the paper. "We hope to have it completed by late spring or early summer of 2009. We would like to have it done around April or May, but June will probably be more of a target date."

The new store will be roughly 4,600 square feet and will feature eight pumps that can service 18 vehicles at one time, he said.
