Quick Chek Cooks Up Strong Coffee, Breakfast Sales

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- Quick Chek, a chain of nearly 120 fresh-food convenience stores operating throughout New Jersey and southern New York, saw same-store sales in its coffee and hot breakfast categories increase during the first quarter, which ran from Nov. 1, 2008, to Jan. 19, and are gaining at a steady pace.

Quick Chek reported its same-store coffee sales rose by 10 percent over the last 11 weeks, while same-store hot breakfast sales went up 13.8 percent. In addition, Quick Chek’s customer counts in the morning drive time (from 5 -11 a.m.) increased 2.2 percent.

"Consumers are demanding quality coffee for less money and this is what we deliver," John Schaninger, vice president of sales and merchandising, said in a statement. "Quick Chek is dedicated to providing the high-quality, low-cost options customers desire."

Known for its famed 20-Minute Freshness Guarantee, Quick Chek’s perfectly-mastered, proprietary coffee blend originates from a highly-detailed, carefully-measured process, where after 20 minutes on the burner, a pot of coffee is discarded and a fresh one is brewed. This process ensures that customers can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in every location any time of day, according to the c-store chain.
