WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. -- While holiday carolers practiced "Joy to the World," a record number of customers at Quick Chek enjoyed "Joe to World" this past Black Friday. The third annual caffeine-inspired promotion totaled 100,670 complimentary cups of coffee, surpassing last year’s 92,000 complimentary cups.
Beginning at midnight on Nov. 26 and running for 24 hours, the locally headquartered convenience store chain offered free medium coffees to customers at its 125 retail locations. This year’s uptick represents an 8 percent increase over 2009, the company said.
"Quick Chek is proud to share its famed coffee with our valued customers. Whether customers stopped in for a morning coffee or were fueling up to go holiday shopping, "Joe to the World" is one way we thank them for their continued patronage throughout the year," explained John Schaninger, vice president sales and marketing.
