Samuel Adams Nitro Series

White Ale, IPA and Coffee Stout will be available in early 2016.

The Samuel Adams Nitro Series will hit shelves in early 2016. Nitro beers use nitrogen in the carbonation process vs. standard CO2 and are known for their captivating cascade and smooth creaminess, according to the company. The inaugural beers in this series will include Nitro White Ale, Nitro IPA and Nitro Coffee Stout. Nitro White Ale has a smooth, velvety taste with light wheat notes, hints of orange and an undercurrent of peppery spices for a bright finish. Nitro IPA is a medium-bodied brew, deep in amber color, that is bitter yet smooth. The hop character has notes of resinous pine and citrus for a flavorful, lingering finish, the company stated. Nitro Coffee Stout has dark roast malts that create notes of bittersweet chocolate with hints of dark fruits, as Sumatran Mandheling coffee and Indian Monsoon Malabar coffee add a deep roast dimension. Nitro Series beers will be available in four-packs of 16-ounce cans in February for a suggested retail price of $8.99-$10.99, varying by market.
