Duke’s Smoked Shorty Sausages

As the trend toward protein-based snacks continues to grow, Duke’s introduces two new products: Smoked Shorty Sausages (Shortys) and Steak Strips. Available in 5-ounce bags, Shortys are gluten-free with no added hormones or nitrates; and contain 7 grams of protein and zero to 2 grams of sugar per serving. They come in Hatch Green Chile, Chorizo & Lime, Hickory Peach BBQ, and Tomato Basil varieties. A Shortys three-pack is also rolling out as a convenient, single-serve option. Steak Strips come in 2.5-ounce bags, and are made with grass-fed beef. They contain up to 16 grams of protein and 2-5 grams of sugar per serving. The strips are available in Traditional Sea Salt, Chipotle BBQ and Honey Bourbon varieties. Duke’s also introduces a packaging redesign that aims to embody the brand’s “freshly crafted” positioning, featuring hand-drawn illustrations of real, whole ingredients. Each bag is stamped with its specific batch case number, the company said.
