Love’s Brings Fast-Fill CNG to New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. opened its first fast-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) location in New Mexico.

With the addition of this site, situated alongside Interstate 40, off exit 149 in Albuquerque, Love’s now offers fast-fill CNG at six locations along a 1,000-mile stretch of I-40.

“Love’s now has a total of 16 locations offering Love’s Fast-Fill CNG, and this is our first location with the alternative fuel offering in New Mexico,” said Greg Love, co-CEO of Love’s. “Love’s has operated in Albuquerque proudly for more than 30 years. Our new store will have the same excellent customer service and our newest amenities.”

CNG is purported to be abundantly available locally in the United States and cleaner burning than its traditional petroleum counterpart.

According to the Alternative Fuels Data Center, Love’s is the fourth facility in Albuquerque to offer CNG, and the seventh in the state.

In addition to Albuquerque, Love’s Fast-Fill CNG locations along I-40 include: West Memphis, Ark.; Webbers Falls, Okla.; two locations in Oklahoma City; and Amarillo, Texas.

The new Albuquerque Love's store also offers a variety of products and services for professional drivers, including gourmet coffee, fresh fruit, gift items, name-brand electronics, and Carl’s Jr. and Green Burrito restaurants. The 24/7 travel stop features seven showers, 65 parking spaces, RFID cardless fueling, CAT scales and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center as well.

Oklahoma City-based Love’s operates more than 350 locations in 40 states.
