Kwik Trip Adds to CNG Locations

SUPERIOR, Wis. -- Kwik Trip Inc. continues to add compressed natural gas (CNG) to its retail network. The company announced it will offer CNG at the gas station and convenience store it is opening here in September, reported WDIO.com.

Once the new location opens, La Crosse, Wis.-based Kwik Trip will offer CNG at 25 of its approximately 400 c-stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.

Jeff Reichling, Kwik Trip's territory manager, told the television station that offering CNG provides three benefits.

"The first being that it's a domestic fuel, it's produced here in the United States. The second being that it's better for the environment than your traditional petroleum products and the third being it's [an] extreme cost savings for companies," he said.

In conjunction with Kwik Trip's announcement, the c-store retailer held a seminar in Duluth, Minn., educating customers about CNG, the TV station reported.
