Corner Store Drops Gas Prices to Celebrate Store Opening

FRISCO, Texas — Corner Store dropped gas prices to $1.59 per gallon, possibly the lowest price in the United States, for three hours Thursday to celebrate the grand opening of its newest store.

Located at 3272 Parkwood Blvd. in Frisco, the 4,816-square-foot store features indoor dining, a car wash, an ATM, and 12 gasoline dispensers with E85 and diesel fuel.

During the store's ribbon-cutting ceremony, David Mock, regional vice president for Corner Store, presented Big Brothers Big Sisters with a check for $5,000 to show parent company CST Brands Inc.'s commitment to the community. Other attendees at the ceremony included Frisco Mayor Maher Maso, Frisco Chamber of Commerce representative Mike Simmons, Rob Roby from Big Brothers Big Sisters, and other local officials.

"At Corner Store, we want to be team players in the communities we serve," said CST Brands President and CEO Kim Lubel. "Our team members (employees) build strong relationships with customers, and we are excited to meet and get to know the wonderful people of Frisco."

Corner Store's new larger stores have ample parking, a colorful and spacious design, and a wider variety of food options. Most are equipped with kitchens to prepare breakfast tacos with homemade tortillas, empanadas, whoopie pies, cookies, doughnuts, kolaches and other items under Fresh Choices, the store's signature food line.

San Antonio-based CST Brands has more than 1,150 company-operated convenience stores in the United States and Canada.
