Clark Brands Signs Two New Marketers

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Scher-Cash Inc. of Martin's Ferry, Ohio, and Belmont Carson Petroleum Corp. of Bridgeport, Ohio, have signed on with Clark Brands LLC. Scher-Cash is currently retro-fitting 11 locations in eastern Ohio and neighboring West Virginia with the gasoline brand. Belmont Carson Petroleum is rebranding three locations in the same area.

Clark said it is confident that signing these marketers will foster a resurgence of the Clark brand along the Ohio River and in the northern panhandle of West Virginia.

Scher-Cash is a c-store retailer operating throughout Ohio and West Virginia since 2003. The company owns and operates 16 stores under The Loading Zone brand.

Belmont Carson Petroleum is a multi-branded fuel marketer supplying gasoline, diesel fuel and kerosene products throughout eastern Ohio and Western West Virginia since 1998. It is part of Belmont Petroleum, a full-service petroleum distributor that supplies all types of refined petroleum products to customers in the Ohio Valley.

Clark is assisting Scher-Cash and Belmont Carson Petroleum in the installation of the new image at the 14 locations. Clark also will continue to provide support in the form of customized branding and marketing programs to both marketers.

"We are pleased and excited to have Scher-Cash and Belmont Carson Petroleum representing Clark in this area," said Karl Goodhouse, president and CEO of Clark Brands. "Our association with Scher-Cash and The Loading Zone convenience store brand will create a strong market presence for the Clark brand in southeast Ohio, West Virginia and northwest Kentucky."

Charles Scherich, president of Scher-Cash, added: "We're very pleased with the comprehensive Clark branding. Combined with the excellent service and support, we're improving our operation significantly -- and saving money."
