Clark Brands Enhances POS Solution Across Network

Teams with Allied Brand Capital to offer EMV upgrade program.

LISLE, Ill. —Clark Brands LLC wants to make it much easier for its branded and unbranded retailers to upgrade to more secure EMV solutions at the point-of-sale (POS).

The owner and licensor of the Clark and Crown fuels brands, as well as the On The Go, Fast Fare and Express Mart convenience store brands, is exclusively teaming up with equipment financing specialist Allied Brand Capital to offer a comprehensive POS upgrade solution, which combines money-saving rebates, special pricing and low financing rates into one value-added program. The solution will be available to branded and payment processing clients, which spans 32 states.

"This program is just one of many in our strategic roadmap and will help to increase security, and enable more secure future functionality to our dealer partners," said Stephen Ruch, president of Lisle-based Clark Brands. "Clark Brands is always looking for innovative ways to improve the payment experience for partners as we bring value to our branded dealers and payment processing network."

Allied Brand Capital will provide financial assistance to Clark and Crown branded and unbranded retailers who wish to upgrade their Gilbarco Passport, VeriFone Topaz, Sapphire, Ruby2 and NCR Radiant equipment.

"We are proud to enter into an exclusive agreement with Clark Brands and its petroleum retailers to help finance needed equipment modernization," said Mike Cerminaro, president of Kingston, N.J.-based Allied Brand Capital.

EMV — an acronym for Europay, MasterCard and Visa — refers to the three companies that originally created the security standard. EMV cards contain a chip, which are purported to be more secure than magnetic swipe credit cards and debit cards.
