Apex Fuel Card Aims to Helps Truckers

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Recognizing concerns over rising gas prices and the cost of doing business, Apex Capital recently unveiled a fuel card program that affords clients up to 40 cents or more savings per gallon on fuel.

"It's rewarding and gratifying to help the small to midsize carrier obtain the same benefits as the big guys. Our intent is to continue looking for opportunities or ways to give our clients that competitive edge to succeed," David Baker, president of Apex Capital said in a released statement.

The program, launched in January in conjunction with EFS Transportation, allows this segment of the industry an opportunity to regain dwindling profit margins. An Apex client, for example, with just one truck can save in excess of $20 per fill up or $5,000 over the course of a year.

Apex exclusive discounts are honored at 5,100 locations nationwide including Pilot, Travel Centers of America, Petro, Wilco Hess, Ambest, and Roady's, a network of 350 independent truck stops.

While other factoring companies offer fuel cards, Apex Capital maintains that its program is unique because it passes on the entire amount of all fuel discounts to its clients. In addition, it provides discounts for all trucking companies, regardless of size or volume.
