Wawa Plans for New Markets

WAWA, Pa. -- While published reports have stated Wawa Inc. is planning to bring its iconic brand of convenience stores and fresh food to central Florida, it is still years away from openings stores.

Reports earlier this week by central Florida news outlets stated the chain is lining up sites for expanding into the Orlando and Tampa Bay areas, with plans of opening up to 15 stores in two years.

However, Wawa spokeswoman Lori Bruce told CSNews Online: "We are at least two years away from opening any stores in a new market, but we are actively engaged in looking for sites."
