WOODBURY, Minn. — SuperAmerica presented food manufacturer Land Mark Products Inc. with its 2014 Category Partner & Vendor of the Year Award. This award is given to companies that demonstrate extraordinary performance in service to the employees and customers of the SuperAmerica organization.
Land Mark was selected in part for its contributions to SuperAmerica launching a self-service pizza program in record time, according to the convenience store retailer. Provided under Land Mark's Day and Night Bites brand, the supplier played a decisive role in setting up and establishing pizza service at 140 locations in three weeks.
"The Day and Night Bites pizza team really impressed us," stated SuperAmerica President Jack Helmick. "Our performance criteria was tough. Our in-store space is limited, our employees have to multitask and most importantly, customers have to love it. Land Mark recommended that we try their Pizza Wedge strategy and it's been a huge hit. Our award is a heartfelt 'thank you' from the entire SuperAmerica crew."
Milford, Iowa-based Land Mark manufactures and distributes foods to c-stores across the country with a product range that includes sandwiches, breakfast programs and pizza components.

SuperAmerica is a division of Northern Tier Energy LP. It had 165 company-operated and 89 franchise locations in the Midwest as of Dec. 31.
