SIX500 Disposable Cooking Packaging

Developed through a partnership between HAVI Global Solutions and Manitowoc Foodservice Inc., SIX500 cooking packaging can safely withstand temperatures up to 525 degrees for six minutes. The packaging is made from a new material that uses proprietary moisture barriers and laminations specifically designed to withstand high temperatures and steam, allowing food products to be rapidly cooked in disposable packaging. Key benefits of the new SIX500 packaging line include: structural integrity, optimal release performance and moisture-resistant coatings that can stand up to aggressive heat and steam. Additionally, food can be prepackaged, cooked and served in the same packaging carrier, creating time and labor efficiencies through the product lifecycle, the companies noted. SIX500 will be available for sale through HAVI Global Solutions starting in September.
