Restaurant Industry Vet to Lead Parker's Foodservice

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Parker Cos. named David Springer as its new director of foodservice. In this role, Springer will oversee the company's multimillion-dollar business of self-serve food offerings in all Parker's convenience stores.

"David has been a respected leader and advisor within the restaurant industry and a 'hands-on' performer in the areas of foodservice development, financial data management, strategic planning and brand development. He will be a strong addition to our existing team."

Springer most recently served as vice president of operations for IDC Ohio Management LLC, operator of Dairy Queen locations throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania, where he guided the company through the implementation of the Grill & Chill concept.

He also worked as general manager of operations for Uno Chicago Grill franchisee JRR Associates Inc., opening the group's first three Uno locations in Michigan; with Ground Round Inc. as director for the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana markets; and with Hallrich Inc., a Pizza Hut franchisee with 99 restaurants in northeast Ohio.

Additionally, Springer is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps with the rank of First Lieutenant, and was awarded a Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Parker's currently operates 36 c-stores in Georgia and South Carolina.
