Vincent P. Anderson, former Wawa executive and Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) and Pennsylvania Convenience Store Council (PCSC) board member, was recently recognized with the 2005 Keystone Award for Lifetime Achievement during the 4th Annual Food Industry Conference in Hershey, Pa.

Anderson, who recently retired as senior vice president of law and government relations for Wawa Inc., had been on the PFMA Board since the early 1980s and served as its chair from 1991 to 1993.

Realizing that convenience stores had special legislative issues, he helped the Pennsylvania Convenience Store Council get its start in 1983 and served as the group's chair from 2002 to 2004. In 1999, he earned the PFMA/PCSC Man of the Year Award and was awarded the group's Keystone Award for Good Government in 2003.

In other people news, NOCO Energy Corp. announced the promotion of Rick Klyczek to dealer business manager. Most recently, Klyczek held the role of director of operations for the NOCO Express Division.

As the dealer business manager, Klyczek will be responsible for all facets of the branded dealer program. He resides in Wheatfield, NY.

Finally, PepsiCo's newly formed foodservice division named Scott A. Siers to the position of vice president, industry relations and business development. In this role, Siers will be responsible for elevating Pepsi's presence within the foodservice and vending industry through business development, strategic alliances, corporate sponsorships, trade advertising and other customer-oriented initiatives.

“Scott is a proven and respected leader within the foodservice industry,” said Chris Furman, president of PepsiCo’s foodservice division. “His understanding of the industry and our customers will prove invaluable as he leverages the synergies of the entire PepsiCo portfolio.”

Siers most recently worked for PepsiCo’s foodservice and vending sales division, where he held a number of assignments including vice president of national accounts. Prior to that, Siers was vice president of sales for Tropicana, where he was responsible for the mass, club, military and foodservice channels as well as the Central America and Caribbean businesses. He has also held consulting roles with Information Resources Inc. and various senior roles in the Quaker Oats Company. Siers is a member of the IFMA Board of Directors, Chairman of the IFMA Education Foundation and has served on several industry committees.
