The Parker Cos. to Develop Gourmet C-store
SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The Parker Cos., operator of the Parker's Convenience Stores chain based here, selected the Tampa and Miami, Fla.-based design firm api(+) to develop a new 8,500-square-foot, single-story gourmet convenience store concept called Parker's Market.
The concept will be developed in the downtown Savannah area and various locations throughout Georgia.
api(+) will also position the Parker's Market stores as the premier upscale provider of food retailing and gourmet convenience in the market, the company stated.
"Being an environmental branding and creating design firm, we are planning to positioning the Parker's Market as the 'The Better Convenience Store,' " Juan F. Romero, AIA, president of api(+), said in a statement. "It's always great to work with great companies who are looking for quality design and who truly want to bring value to the communities, and api(+) is proud to be a part of enhancing a shopping experience through design."
api(+) has also worked with the QuikTrip convenience chain and a number of other retailers including Bloom, Whole Foods Market and Wal-Mart, according to the company.
