Nice N Easy Top Fundraiser Again
SYRACUSE, N.Y - Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes Inc. last week was once again recognized as the top fundraiser in the retail division for the Syracuse area American Heart Association Walk/Run 2002. Twenty-six people from the chain raised over $20,000 for the charity.
Glenn White, foodservice director for Nice N Easy and event chairman of the Run/Walk was the leading individual fundraiser, raising over $10,000 alone. He has agreed to chair the event again in 2003.
"Our people are the greatest," said John MacDougall, president of the 81-store chain. "When they embrace an event such as the Heart Walk/Run, they do it with all their heart, and the results are overwhelming. Glenn White's involvement in this event also reflects a great commitment, and is one of the reasons why it's such a success."
