CHINA -- China Petroleum Gas Corp. finalized an agreement with McDonald's to bring its fast food to 30,000 Sinopec's gas stations across China.

The agreement is "the next generation of McDonald's restaurants in China and the next generation of Sinopec's service stations," said Mike Roberts, president of McDonald's.

The drive through restaurants will be open 24 hours, feature a family play and rest area and Internet access.

The goal is to narrow the gap between McDonald's and the number one restaurant operator, Yum! Brands. The brand's KFC chain has twice as many outlets than McDonald's in China, and has already opened its second drive through service last year. According to the commerce ministry, shares of the industry are expected to top $1 trillion yuan, ($125 billion USD) this year.
