Fabulous Freddy’s Opens First of Eight Snack Franchises

LAS VEGAS — Fabulous Freddy’s just got even more fabulous as the chain opened the first of eight co-branded Doc Popcorn and Dippin’ Dots franchises that will be featured inside all its stores.

Fabulous Freddy’s signed a licensing agreement in 2015 to open the co-branded snack franchises inside all eight of its locations in Las Vegas and throughout Utah.

The first co-branded franchise unit opened in St. George, Utah. The grand opening featured free samples, contests and other family activities.

The licensing agreement with Fabulous Freddy’s is part of a national plan to expand Doc Popcorn/Dippin’ Dots co-branded franchises in high-traffic venues that attract families, according to the company.

“Doc Popcorn, Dippin’ Dots and Fabulous Freddy’s all share a similar energy. Each of us is focused on fun, convenience and creating smiles,” said Jeff Warnick, chief financial officer of Fabulous Freddy’s. “When the opportunity presented itself to include the brands in our car wash/convenience stores, we jumped on it.”

The co-branded units offer Doc Popcorn’s fresh-popped, kettle-cooked popcorn and Dippin’ Dots’ iconic flash-frozen ice cream, sundaes, floats, shakes and quakes.

“Pairing our fun snacks inside an upbeat, family-oriented place like Fabulous Freddy’s creates a wonderful synergy and is a great strategy for all parties,” Rob Israel, co-founder and “Big Pop” of Doc Popcorn, added.

Las Vegas-based Fabulous Freddy’s is an eight-store chain with operations in Las Vegas, and St. George and Sandy, Utah, that features full-service car washes with detail shops, express lube services, 24-hour convenience stores and gasoline.
