Deli Express Gets New Look

Deli Express will begin next month rolling out all new packaging for its hot and cold sandwiches that is expected to be in all its convenience store chains by this February.

The new look, which was revealed at this year's NACS Show, is entitled "Fresh Field of Green." The Minneapolis, Minn.-based company said it was developed based on consumer research and focus group studies that found 29 percent of infrequent purchasers said the ability to see a sandwich through the packaging caused interest in trying the food product.

"The new look allows our current product category offerings to stand out clearly and assist the end-user in making a quick eating purchase decision," said Priscilla McGreevy, marketing manager for Deli Express, a division of the E.A. Sween Company. "Our focus is to give our loyal customer base what they want and attract new users. Fresh Field of Green is a consumer-centric approach to marketing. We see this as delivering on our customers' needs and wants."

Available on all 25 varieties of sandwiches, the new design includes brighter and bolder graphics and also incorporates a unique curved checkered design and logo overlay that reveals more of the product. Deli Express sandwiches can be found at more than 25,000 convenience stores, drug stores, vending machines and other grocery outlets across the United States.
