Chester's Goes From Trucking to Clucking

GREENWOOD, Neb. -- Cubby’s Inc., operator of convenience stores and supermarkets in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota, opened its first Chester’s foodservice offering last week here.

The newest Chester’s offers signature menu options including fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location also offers both dine-in and carry-out options. Amenities at the Greenwood Cubby’s include a trucker’s lounge, showers, ATM, washer and dryer, internet access, and fax and copy machine.

"We are excited about bringing Chester's great-tasting chicken to our customers," Dick Cosaert, Cubby's president, said in a statement. "Chester's will be a great addition to our store."

Chester’s is an emerging quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concept with more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester’s franchised locations. Chester’s uses chicken that is specially marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe, according to the company.
