Swiss Farms Partners With Dietitian to Offer Healthier Options

    Good-for-you snacks, groceries available.

BROOMALL, Pa. — Swiss Farms is partnering with a dietitian to offer its customers new, fresh and lifestyle-focused, good-for-you food choices.

Delaware County, Pa.-based dietitian Audrey Hasse is curating food choices for the drive-thru market chain, giving customers a more convenient way to shop for the healthier groceries they need and want to bring home.

The chain also teamed up with local partners A Casa Pizza for bake-at-home stromboli, Kegel's Produce for fresh-cut fruit, and Swiss Premium for farm-fresh, locally supplied milk and teas.

Groceries and prepared meals can be ordered in advance on the Swiss Farms website or via the Swiss Farms mobile app. The good-for-you options include healthier snacks, on-the-go breakfast items, ingredients to prepare lunch or dinner, and more.

Hasse, whose nutrition philosophy is "eating should be fun," was integral in developing the new product offerings to ensure they are delicious, meet culinary guidelines and celebrate local favorites, the retailer said. In addition to curating products, Hasse developed a quick and easy strawberry smoothie recipe that uses healthy ingredients available at Swiss Farms.

"I remember driving through Swiss Farms as a kid and I know that it holds a special place in people's lives in our area," Hasse stated. "Customers today are more informed than ever about the ingredients in the foods they're buying and how food choices affect their health. That's why Swiss Farms is committed to offering wholesome foods you feel good about eating, while supporting local businesses."

Other Swiss Farms improvements planned for the next several months include expanded product offerings, easier online ordering, improved signage, and lifestyle food categories ranging from afterschool snacks to entertaining, finals crash kit, and store to shore.

Swiss Farms operates 13 drive-thru market locations in Pennsylvania.
