Jiffy Mart Teams Up With Local NFL Player

WESTMINSTER, Md. -- In an effort to boost brand awareness, Jiffy Mart is teaming up with local celebrity Sam Koch, punter for the Baltimore Ravens. Residents of Carroll County, Md., where Koch resides, will be treated to several live appearances by the professional football player at Jiffy Mart locations in the area. Life-sized cardboard cutouts of Koch also will be on display at each store.

"Sam being a resident of Carroll County, and a customer of Jiffy Mart, made for a natural fit," said Tom Moser, general manager of Tevis Oil/Jiffy Mart. "Jiffy Mart and Sam have created a partnership that will bring increased brand awareness [of Jiffy Mart] to area residents. Patrons can expect more savings and additional in-store promotions surrounding Sam Koch's No. 4."

Coincidentally, there are four Tevis Oil-owned and -operated Jiffy Mart convenience stores in Carroll County. The c-store chain is active in the community, partnering each year with national, regional and local charities, such as St. Jude Children's Hospital, American Breast Cancer Foundation, Carroll Hospital Center Foundation and The Shepherd's Staff.

Koch and his wife reside in Carroll County with their three children. He was drafted by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2006 National Football League draft. Born in Nebraska, he played college football at the University of Nebraska.
