Dundee Jerky Outlet Partners with Marathon Gas Station
DUNDEE, Mich. -- When outdoor enthusiasts think of Michigan, they likely think of the famous outfitter store Cabela's. Now, a nearby Marathon c-store has been transformed into a Dundee Jerky Outlet, allowing outdoorsmen to stock up on their favorite meat snack in the same trip that they shop for outdoor equipment.
"People who used to drive by on the way to Cabela's are coming in to buy jerky, sausages, cheese curds all kinds of snacks," co-owner Paul Lyons said in a released statement.
The new location, which has already attracted thousand of customers, features hunting, fishing, camping and hiking product lines. And true to its name, the store is a destination for jerky lovers as there is a numerous selection including bulk jerky, spiced jerky, game jerky and specialty jerky.
"We knew we had the right location, now we have the right store set up and products," co-owner Mike Abdullah said in a released statement. "Paul Lyons came to us with the Dundee Jerky Outlet concept and the store sales just took off."
Abdullah explained that the smokehouse themed decor has a simple, friendly "Northern Michigan" feel complete with a mounted buffalo. The floors feature colorful rustic tile highlighted by custom spacious granite counters. The Dundee Jerky Outlet and Marathon Gas Station proved to be the perfect location for Atlas Oil Co.'s Customer Appreciation Event, which took place earlier this month.
